Visuals can inspire; how far can one photo go?

Wheelock.
The Wheelock Cone
Taken by Caleb Kay.

Life is like an inverted cone, with rings and lights mounted inside. When you were a child, you were at the tip of the cone. Everything was so bright and happy. There were never “dark patches” (unless you consider not getting the toy you wanted as a dark patch).

As life wears on, you descend down the cone, moving on the rings. Sometimes, you hit a light spot. Everything goes well, and you’re happy with what’s going on. Then there are other times, in between lights, when you hit a dark patch. Nothing seems to go right, and you feel gloomy and miserable. For some people, their rings are further up the cone. The lights are closer together, and they’re happy more often than not. Others aren’t as blessed. They lead their lives further down the cone, where light spots are few and far between.

Round and round it goes; where it ends, nobody knows.
